Philosophy
At The Equal Learning Foundation (ELF), our main belief is also our motto. We believe that everyone should have access to quality education. To achieve our goal of providing the best education and opportunities for our clients, we hire tutors who are knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about what they do. We also make sure that all our services provide the client the flexibility that they need by arranging tutoring sessions around their schedule, and in the location of their choosing.
We understand that not everyone can afford to pay for expensive tutoring services, which is why we continuously work to help those who can show financial need. Our plan for providing assistance to those who cannot afford to pay the full price of tutoring consists of three parts: lowering our prices, raising funds, and providing free tutoring.
Tutors
The ELF takes great pride in hiring only the best tutors. All of our tutors either hold a degree from an accredited university, or are currently working towards their degree. Many of them also have extensive experience doing private or public tutoring.
When a client and tutor are matched, they get a chance to meet each other prior to commiting. This will allow the client and the tutor to get to know each other and understand each other’s needs. Once the match has been made and accepted, the client will work with that tutor throughout the duration of the tutoring, unless otherwise requested.
Because safety is extremely important in our organization each and every one of our tutors is interviewed in person by the directors of the company, and required to submit to a background check prior to working with any of our clients.

Technique & Technology
At The Equal Learning Foundation, we believe in technology and we believe in the internet. That said, our tutors are encouraged to communicate and exchange supplemental information with clients by email and phone. In addition, our tutors keep online, private records of all the tutoring sessions, as well as progress reports, which are available only to the tutor, the client and The ELF directors. Other tools and applications both for the client and tutors are currently under development, but will be available shortly.
